DSC_0037 PaperC.jpgYou are cordially invited to the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center for a Holiday Open House with art, live music, and refreshments on December 1 at 7 PM.

The event will be catered by St. James Catering Company.

Daria Guelig, Dave Driskell, and Dave Milano present musical traditions old and new with a very roomy repertoire that draws from old-time, Americana, Celtic, folk, pop, jazz, and ragtime. With guitar, hammered dulcimer, clarinet, flute, whistle, and concertina, 3D delivers a joyful mix of beautiful melodies.

The Bloomsburg printmaking student’s exhibit Selfies and My Space opens on December 1 in the Atrium Gallery.

The Journey: An Invitational Exhibit opens in the Main Gallery on December 1, too. Each artist was invited to display three important works of art that they made in their journey as artists and write about the significance of each.

For one weekend only in our Studio, the Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will display their raffle quilt and sell raffle tickets. And Glenfiddich Farm’s wool, yarn, and high-end knitwear will be on display and for sale! December 1, 7-9 PM. December 2, 10-3 PM (Dickens of a Christmas). December 3, 11-5 PM. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind pop-up gallery! The Raffle Quilt and Glennfidich Wool will only be at the Gmeiner for one weekend!

Vernal Pool will perform in the Gmeiner from 10 AM to noon on December 2. Vernal Pool is a Celtic musical trio that performs traditional Irish, Scottish and Appalachian instrumentals and folk, bluegrass and other forms of “rootsy” vocal music. Stop by for this musical performance during Dickens of a Christmas!
