The Gmeiner’s Juried Regional Exhibit is a celebration of the Art made within 150 miles of Wellsboro, PA. We strive to select the finest examples of craftsmanship and refinery from a broad range of Art media. From watercolor painting to art quilts, sequential art to ceramics, our Jurists. In addition to $1,000 in cash prizes, the Gmeiner provides Juried participants the opportunity to sell handmade goods in a pop-up gallery in the Studio at the Gmeiner during the Dickens of a Christmas Festival on December 1.

Juried Regional Exhibit Display Dates: December 1- January 27, 2019.
Jurists: Noelle Sylvester, Jennifer Fais, and Anna Wales. Jurists results will be sent via email in November. Please provide a valid email for notification. Slides or CDs will not be returned.
Guidelines: Applicants are encouraged, not required to submit two dimensional work with a maximum size of 48” in any direction. Sculptural and ceramic work must fit through a 6×8’ doorway and weigh less than 70 pounds.
The Gmeiner will only display artwork that is the original intellectual property of the artist. The Gmeiner reserves the right not to display any artwork that has been misrepresented in photographic entries or meet the Director’s discretion for professional exhibition. The Gmeiner reserves the right to refuse work that is not right for the space. The Gmeiner retains a 15% commission for art sales. Sold artwork may leave the gallery at the time of sale.
Additional suggestions: All artwork should be professionally prepared for display upon delivery to the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center. The Gmeiner has pedestals and glass cases for the display of 3-D artwork and hanging rods for the display of 2-D artwork. Artwork delivered without all of the necessary components will not be displayed.
- Canvas must be framed with wood or metal frame with a wire across the back for hanging.
- Drawings, photographs, prints, and any kind of 2-D Art on paper must be framed with a wire across the back for hanging and placed under glass with a mat to seperate the drawing from the surface of the glass.
- The artist entrant will be responsible for transporting their work to and from the gallery. Every precaution will be taken to handle artwork with utmost care. However, the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center will not be responsible for damage or loss.
